I currently work for a state agency and really like my job but there's no real upward movement. A fed position would be the next step.

As someone who had considered applying for a federal position a couple years ago, I dunno why anyone would want to work for the feds at this point. Which is a sentiment that's going to make rebuilding everything if we get the chance a real problem.

As someone who enjoys Game Boy modding and repair it's essentially killed my ability to get cool custom stuff from small makers overseas. Fucking sucks man.

They're someone who complains non-stop about property taxes going up but cheers when income taxes are cut again, not knowing that cut is mostly for people much, much, much richer than them.

You can very very rarely field some sort of insane space marine legion that had disappeared from all memory until you find reference to it. The legion had been all but destroyed and had to be rebuilt but in the intervening period it was forgotten about.

Like I imagine if the couple papers available to my parents out in rural Ohio had money again. Run the comics, sports and some actual fact checking on local, state and federal politics. It'd be a sea change from what they're getting now.

These people just need to get a Crock-Pot. Dump cans and throw frozen stuff in, cook on low while you're at work. Hot meal when you get home. 🤷
