I got a lot of the ideas from Japanese decks who already have accesss to Dawn, which really puts the deck into high gear. Here are some other tech options you could consider based off the meta (SER is the most obvious flex slot but you do you). Also, my kingdom for a Fighting Fury Belt reprint lol

Having a lot of fun with modern VenuCenter in Mega Evolutions standard. I think the M Kanga does a ldot to boost the M Venusaur deck's consistency in a way that cuts the need for Meganium while helping with the Fire matchups. Probably not tier 1, but it can definitely hang.

Base - Fossil Point Buy update. The format was dominated by free big basics like Kanga, Mewtwo, & Ditto (each used to cost 1 pt), so July's format sees a huge shift as 8(!) cards move up a point. OTOH, Comp Search was voted down to 0 pts so it really is a whole new meta rn

Idk if you have breeding yet, but there are specific rooms ppl use for swapping extra copies of the starters. The room code is usually the number of the pokemon you are trading, plus the one you are wanting to get
