Nuance? In MY elfgame discourse? Unacceptable! Absolutely unacceptable!

Here it is from 5e. It's a neat little bit of utility and flair.

Rolling ahead is definitely a great idea. It can really speed things up, but like you said if you know that it's coming you can drop hints.

I'm glad you liked it! If nothing else, WWN is a fantastic resource for GMs purely because of its extensive random tables; I think it's closer to an actual evolution of 2e than the total redesign of 3e, even if it's mostly B/X-derived.

Looks awesome! I need to do this myself, honestly.

It's very much dependent on the table. Somehow, my friends (late 20s and early 30s) are much less organized than your daughter and her friends! So I typically nominate a player to serve as caller if things get hectic.

I'm going to try and shoot for posting on Sundays from now on, since that's when I seem to have the most time.

I have seen a lot of people really disagree with the concept of a Caller, but I think it ends up becoming a part of most tables without people realizing it. I believe @daddyrolleda1.bsky.social has a video where he does a breakdown of the play example from B/X and makes this apparent

Wild blue flax grows wild in many regions of Almorin, and has been used for thousands of years to produce linen and rope. Its flowers can be used to produce a light blue dye, making it exceedingly common as a material for clothing, especially along the coast of the Empire. #osr

The sheet is there to serve as the players' interface with the world. It's the inverse of the GM's notes, in a way.
