You're extrapolating out and then applying to this dev.

11 Bit are not to blame for all the ills of the industry. Hold the companies accountable for each of those issues, don't pile it onto these guys who made one mistake.

So I'm a "bootlicker" and a "nerd" because I don't think it matters when an AI placeholder image makes it into a game. I'm not one for name calling and I save my moral outrage for the real issues.

We don't know what they did or didn't disclose to steam. The steam policy is disclosure. Whether that game gets an AI badge is down to them.

But we're talking about a worker. Who used it in a moment as a stopgap. Not some billionaire or millionaire. Just some dude who made a mistake.

I just think there's levels to this right? This isn't some 100% AI slop game. It's a very well written and developed game. To crucify it for ones person's mistake is mad.

Someone cut a corner. This isn't a "burn them to the ground" moment some are treating it as.

Except this was used by a developer/graphic designer on the team so not replacing anyone. So is a creative allowed to use AI to create something they plan on replacing with their own work?

If the intended final product was 100% AI free, I do not understand the pearl clutching under this post.

I'm not an AI fan by any stretch. But to attack a studio so rabidly for such a slight oversight is crazy to me.

This is such a nothing burger. AI was used during dev and left in by accident. The asset is unreadable for 99% of gamers.

If it was an oversight and the full version of the game has zero AI assets, does this break steams TOS?
