I read the article. Her "plan" seems to be "win some battles and look strong, also voters don't like woke." Not terribly encouraging or impressive.

I don't want to alienate them. I just want them to recognize that inaction is an action with real consequences. Ideally, I want them to recognize it 6 months ago, but before 2028 will do.

No shit. I've been working (and paying taxes) since I was 15. I played Little League baseball. I went on enough dates to end up married with three children (all of whom are vaccinated and only one of whom is on the spectrum, btw), and I don't write poems, but I do write songs. Fuck this man.

I believe no tax on tips might still happen, but only because if you really examine what it means, it opens another path to the exploitation of low and mid income workers.

Well, there ARE other choices, whether you want to admit it or not, and my honest fear is that, if things continue as they are now, option 1 may need to lose a word and become option 3.
