OCTOPATH 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. I genuinely didn’t know if they would ever make another due to SE restructuring, so seeing 0 had me excited. Plus, so many cool smaller games releasing as well.

It’s so disheartening to hear everyone so upset by what wasn’t there than what was.

Am I crazy that I can’t find Skyward Sword’s Zelda’s Lullaby anywhere?

#7 - Man on the Inside (Season 1)

- TV Show (Comedy)
- I was not expecting to enjoy this one as much as I did. Ted Danson is hilarious with great one-liners, but the show is so wholesome and touching. There are great family moments that really hit hard.

If everything is either a 1 or a 10, the numbers in between lose their meaning. Unfortunately, this practice goes beyond just review scores. It’s disheartening how extremism is generally more accepted and encouraged.

Nuance matters and is a good thing!

Finally catching up on the backlog to get to Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

About an hour in, combat has been a little tough for me to grasp so far, but overall I love the presentation and the characters.

#6 - Dune: Part Two

- Movie (Sci-Fi)
- It is a real joy to be living through another Sci-Fi epic that delivers. I do think this movie’s pace is all over the place and feels quite rushed compared to the first. But it’s still a visual stunner and worth the long runtime.

#5 - Dune

- Movie (Sci-Fi)
- Visually stunning, Dune firmly sets the stage for the massive 2020’s blockbuster series to come.

#4 - The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

- Video Game (Action/Adventure)
- A triumphant return to 2D Zelda, despite noticeable performance issues. The echo ability is fresh; the lore implications go far beyond expected. A touch repetitive by the end, but it’s a great bite-sized adventure.

I have had it downloaded on my phone for weeks now and have yet to open the app up. I fear what it will do to me.

#3 - Delicious in Dungeon (Season 1)

- Anime (High Fantasy)
- Studio Trigger does it again, this time with a fantastic comedy that has its serious moments. The show encapsulates DnD so well, and the world building is insane. Cooking is a really unique way to tie everything together.

#2 - Saturday Night

- Movie (Comedy/Thriller)
- There is something so refreshing about films with simple plots that are executed to a masterful degree. The movie is chaotic, stressful, yet wildly engrossing from the very start - and overall a whole lot of fun to watch.

#1 - Animal Well

- Video Game (Metroidvania)
- The game's atmosphere is a major selling point and the overall design of the map is masterful. There's no combat, and that allows the unique child-like items to shine in puzzle solving. Complex puzzles to solve, albeit some are too obscure.
