The ludex arrived to the Meropide Fortress to take the Duke to his surprise party in Poisson. It took some time for preparation and this weeks were tough, but they ended up in time for the Duke’s special day and now was time to give him big surprise.

It was sweet to see someone caring about him in his special day even if he didn’t ask for it. But the Duke was doubting that the Iudex will give him something this year. He was not disappointed or angry at him, but it was kinda depressed about it.

He doesn’t deserve it anyway, he had committed murder after all, so celebrating it was kinda ironic for him. But remembering his last birthdays, the only one who has bought him at least a slice of cake and congratulated him was the Iudex.
