I was too young too join but not too young to understand but all the boomers/adults in my life were so incredibly belittling and dismissive about it. It was confusing because there was no response other than “those kids are idiots” but I guess that’s all it took really

I was 12 & had surgery the day of the WTO riots I watched it on the news in the waiting room. I remember a burning feeling that I wanted to be a part of that, fighting back, but everyone in my life was so over the top dismissive of it. It was a very confusing time for a lot of todays adults I think

Unfortunately “faith leaders” have degraded their own status and position in society due to their rampant child sexual abuse so this doesn’t pack the same punch it once did. If you want to play the morality card you can’t be known as a group prolific child rapists.

This isn’t a contradiction for them, all you have to do is look at their stance on abortion, too young to do basically anything but old enough to carry & deliver a child, there is no consistency. Same reason they’ll charge children as adults, esp black children. “Adult” is arbitrary to the right

Maybe we need a clause for such special circumstances that doing this is absolutely appropriate and it’s actually not ok to use one rapist to shield hundreds or thousands of other rapists.
