To put in perspective: it seems like the intention was to REMOVE THE ACCES OF VPNs FROM APP-STORES (such as Google Play Store) IN GENERAL, until they backtracked. As usual, it is worrysome how much the people responsible for big decisions understand about people who spend their time mostly online.

It is good that Twitter has been suspended, and shows how this is serious business.
But fining the common user for using VPN sets an extremely dangerous precedent; people may use VPN for everything already. I think this is genuinely threatening, and I say this as someone who has never used a VPN.
