And, has the theory been applied to any other country/organisation? Are there comparable situations to draw on, i.e. can you repeat the experiment...?

Since this theory has been going for 30 years, has anyone actually spoken to anyone who's worked at the Pentagon to simply ask if they always order pizza when they work late? As this case is almost historic it's worth a try. Triangulate your sources!

And also: can we check a bunch of major events to see if there was NOT a spike when we would have expected one according to the theory? If you were looking at the data without an ulterior motive, will the pattern be less clear?

Important questions to ask with these theories: when else do spikes occur? How often do they have absolutely nothing to do with geopolitics? How often do these events correlate with it simply being Friday or Saturday night?
