The Egyptian pro-democracy activist Wael Ghonim said,

"The power of the people is greater than the people in power."

This is a checklist of things you can do, probably should do, resources, ideas, ways to move forward.

“I just don’t know what to do!!” shouldn’t be something you say now.

For no reason whatsoever I have never found pulverizing and boiling tangerines until they became marmalade more satisfying.

And then there's Cory Booker. Any GOP who's heart was not moved is irrevocably devoid of a soul.

Granted I was hoping we could sweep FL-1 and FL-6 while we were at it, the MAGA vote margin narrowed dramatically. And I will celebrate Leon's failure to purchase an activist judge. And then there have been serious down ballot wins. My grip on hope may have gone from fingertips to fingernails.

I was joking when I called it a rodeo clown costume. But it kind of is.

2025 seems to be the year that pulverizing tangerines and boiling down the resultant goop into marmalade is incredibly satisfying. For no reason whatsoever.

Everything is awful. But I still believe that there are more of us upholding decency than there are in moral collapse. Pushing back against it without falling into it is exhausting, though.

No lie detected. I come by my stubborn swathe honestly.
it is mind-boggling to see how two dumbass Americans thought they could get anything done by shouting at an Eastern European...

@crbesq.bsky.social but wait- there's more! Best of both worlds?
With a few notable exceptions (Lu’s, Clancey's, Kramarczuk's), Minneapolis is not exactly known for its sandwiches. Oddly enough, many of the city’s best sandwiches are those available from local liquor stores.

Taking a vote on which George Harrison video is more distressing.
nope, that's just terrifying (when you get there you'll know)
Copy and quote-skeet this with a genuinely decent song whose music video aged hilariously (FYI I'm interpreting hilarious in a good way bc I will always love this one) youtu.be/nNetfJQ9HAs?...

My fingernails are dug in and holding on to hope. It's hard to see the other guardrails because they depend on states and orgs to engage them with lawsuits and on judges and prosecutors to uphold the rule of law and sometimes put their livelihoods on the line. But they're there.

We all know what we saw. We know muskrat is Henry Ford with a media platform and the puppet strings of felon 47. Don't deny the evidence of our own eyes, but don't let what we already know take all the oxygen in the room. The bigger fish is that media and even the ADL are working OT to sanitize it.

The quiet part out loud...again. TFOG just can't stop telling us his plans to create an openly government-controlled social media platform. And his base can't stop eating it up. It's hard to avoid feeling like it's hopeless. But we fight until we can't.
And there it is. Scam and grift revealed. Watch who gets rich off this. Interested also to see how legacy media covers this, which has been putrid so far.

Welp, they tried me. Was PlaidCoat McSalesman really not expecting me to follow through when they dropped a "get out of this bad deal free" card?

Today's lesson for car dealerships- when you tell a customer they're family and you're dealing with a GenX woman, (1) latchkey kids are scrappy. (2) Chances she was youngest sibling and then suddenly a parentified middle child are huge. (3) Don't try her- it made her a bigger badass than you.

Important stuff. He doesn't get power he doesn't have until all Democratic options are exhausted.
Eight years ago, we wrote the Indivisible Guide to organizing locally to pressure Congress and block the Trump agenda.

Now, we’re offering our best advice on how everyday people can organize to stop Trump 2.0: indivisible.org/guide

Model letter to your rep, especially if you're stuck with one that doesn't match your values. TBH our GOP reps should ALL be horrified about the possibility that someone with a history of SA and trafficking allegations could be given a pass AND one of the most powerful jobs in the nation.
