I tell a lie. We 'did' have WiFi in halls, but me and my nerdy friends set up a private network with a ghetto homemade antenna pointed out my mate's bedroom window towards the uni building and we charged people a subscription to access it x3

I didn't even have WiFi in halls x3. I think there was quite a burst in technological development between 2005 and 2010 (with social media, smartphones etc) so it feels like more time had passed!

Anyways, enough of my reminiscing. At the time, did you enjoy watching it? If so, then it was the right decision!

Felt like total shit so I stopped x3. Also sleeping through the day meant I couldn't play DDR at the arcade xD

First year uni is the best time to do something like that! I remember being nocturnal for a few weeks because all my lectures were first thing in the morning. Late morning/afternoon was sleep, early evening was Red Alert 2 with the boys, and rest of the night was single player games x3
