I’m Cody, and I’ve been growing orchids in some fashion since I was 14
Have always had an interest in breeding orchids and just recently got a glove box to start sowing seed at home.
Interested in genetics, virology, and planty stuff.

Saw that my boss had 3D printed calipers a few days back, so over the weekend I asked if he could print me a pair too. Was even able to add my orchid “business” name too 😭❤️

Im so proud of myself 😅 I thought of a very simple solution to an annoying problem of mine.
I sow my orchid seeds dry, which means they need to be sterilized prior to sowing. To do this, I just suspend them in some hydrogen peroxide inside of a small syringe.

I didn’t take any photos because our kitchen is a mess, but made all the media necessary to do Phalaenopsis stem propagation tomorrow!

This whole Meta bullshit is so infuriating. As a very open gay dude, their policies are horrid. But as an orchid grower, so many people, especially older growers and out of country growers, solely use Facebook.
