Reluctant polymath who recently discovered music. Marcus Aurelius, Diogenes, and Nietzsche walk into a bar. I'm the punchline.
@nianticjp.bsky.social There a known bug causing players to lose all progress?

Spoilered this one because not everyone likes #spiders. Nicknamed "Buddy", this little cobber runs a daily anti-mosquito patrol through my workshop, rain or shine. 10/10 spiderbro.

Another delayed #cat upload. Luna loves her "soft caves". And using us as lounging platforms.

A little delayed in posting this one. Household #cat Lily sends her greetings. Inside, she is a ball of anxiety. Outside, she is a baby who refuses to wander far from her humans.

Happy international men's day

Today I'll be looking into setting up a community workshed, where we can help build better role models and emotional structures for our young men. Plus, woodworking!

Nap time.

Uwa palya (Heya!) from Lily (right) and Jasper (left) as well.

I had a sneaking suspicion that Luna wanted some attention.

Happy Kindness Day, beautiful people

When you're so devoted to driving like an ass that you forget your ID is on full display.

The konlarru, kurraka, kurpany, or Aussie magpie. Most of the year, they are playful, clever, social birds who are happy to coexist with us. Mealworms are easy snacks, but don't overdo it.

In spring, they are fiercely, dangerously protective of their nests.

Morning walk discoveries. I'm late for doing today's. Jasper is asleep on the floor, so I suspect he's in no rush yet.

Lily enjoying the sun and soft she found in the storage

Jasper pled the 5th on the case of my missing socks. I had hoped to catch him with his rolling about, play wrestling with it across his snout, but he caught sight of me and very clearly felt either embarrassed or guilty.

I'm just happy he's still got that cheekiness

Blair after a morning play session. Of the toys, all three furballs enjoy the one with the loudest bell on it. The massive cat tower doesn't hurt, too, 'cause it means we can add vertical movement to encourage rapid climbing/dismounting as well.

But with Blair, her favourite toy seems to be Dr Rope

Luna being all regal.

She's still having spats with Blair and Lily on occasion, but largely now can coexist in the same room without a fight exploding.

Old man Jasper has been joining me on my morning walks. Recovery is always better with company.

It's easy to feel that exhaustion is a form of defeat.

Cruelty in the open, especially targeting the vulnerable, inspires righteous rage.

But if we can't act on that, it often feels like the only other choice is surrender. Life is not so binary.

I find it ironic when employment agencies are understaffed.

If only they had a list of people wanting to work.

It is actually pretty hard to retain nuance in short message formats.

Apropos to y'all that can achieve it.
July 21, 2025 at 3:16 AM
If you restrict those who can reply to you, you will only get those opinions you want.

If someone is abusive, if you don't have the energy to engage other views, that's valid.

Just remember that the sheltered view is a biased one, and work accordingly.

I'm ostensibly opposed to the new decision that churches can be political entities.

Our role as ministers, priests, reverends, whatever you wish to refer to us as, is as guides to the spiritual. We can have views, obviously, but keep teachings to scripture, not polls.

I don't know who needs to hear this right now, but counts for likes and followers/subscriptions are poor metrics for content.

Many platforms won't allow either mechanism, and plenty of folks will watch content whilst their hands are busy/it's on autoplay.

Just keep doing your thing.
