He was an amazing companion to my dad, and the rest of us. Amazing soul and we still miss him almost a year later. It's not been right without him. Despite crying while painting it, I finished and gave it to my dad. Seeing his reaction... This painting was worth it. One in a million types of cats.

It's sometimes difficult painting a deeply loved pet that's no longer in your life after many amazing years. As I get closer to finishing this, tonight was one of those difficult nights as the painting becomes more...alive.
