Jay, for example, said a few years ago that she reads books out of order because "the book is there to serve me [...] I'm going to read it how I want". That's an *extremely* strange way to behave that likely ruins the experience of reading a book and it severs a common cultural touchstone for her.

Okay, what the actual hell, this second response is just…again, it’s just factually wrong. Port Colborne is at the *south* end of the Welland Canal, on Lake Erie. St. Catharines is at the north end on Lake Ontario.

Well, I did this test.

It kinda sticks out that it got a fact wrong (Vesta *does* have a very tall mountain in the Rheasilvia crater, we’re just a little unclear on exactly how tall it is) but it also highlights that I gave it a false dichotomy.

No, in the article, Fain directly refers to the relationship between Canada/Mexico/USA. He’s pretty directly talking about NAFTA, he doesn’t reference foreign cars at all. The thing is like, the US can’t bring back all that manufacturing. This is more likely to kill factories.

As is made clear if you read *the whole sentence*, a lot of people *didn’t know* it was possible to be gay or bi until the 70s or 80s.

It’s called threading, sometimes a sentence is split up between two posts. Scrolling up a teeny bit usually makes it pretty damn obvious.
