We had a winter solstice event at our UU church last night. We lit up our outdoor labyrinth with dozens of electric tea lights, many multi-colored string lights, and a half-dozen tiki torches.
We passed around a hand-held mic for people to offer up a toast/blessing for the year ahead.

POSTSCRIPT: Redford in 2013 film “ALL IS LOST”, which has almost no dialogue, is very worth watching! That was the first film I discovered post-mortem, and it felt very apropos in this challenging era.
