Kinda similar, one of the designs from the Kiss set is even closer. Funny thing about that Donruss Elvis set is that they 100% recycled borders from their earlier Truckin' set.

Revisited this a while back for the first time since seeing it theatrically. Only thing that really stood out was the bit with pre-fame Soundgarden ("Hands All Over") playing on the tv.

Closest LCS nowadays is about an hour away and extremely slim pickings. Cons haven't been much fun since lockdown. Gotta go out of state anymore to find a haul like this.

It's crept up near the top of my Cronenberg list over the years. Samantha Eggar in the climax is arguably the prime example of how a strong performance amplifies graphic visuals way beyond gnarly into utterly believability. I've read that she improvised that maternal lick.

Even the gratuitous McDonalds product placement scene is kinda charming! Love Mary Steenburgen in this.

Didn't think it was possible to steal the show from Holly Hunter, but Gina Yashere does it in every scene as Thok.

Mixed reaction overall so far, but optimistically on board. Keep hearing the fifth episode in particular is terrific.

Also directed the raunchy 1977 Cinderella musical starring Rainbeaux Smith!
