Returning to this on the off chance that you haven't otherwise seen - there's now been an announcement of an announcement (which is somewhat ridiculous) about Season 3 on August 31st

The movie version of Hidden Inventory/Premature Death having now had its global release is a positive sign for news for Season 3 sometime soon (also the movie is banger as a recut, to the extent where I'd likely recommend it over watching the episodes to someone)

I watched Chungking Express right as I began to accept that someone who I thought I was really close to had just cut me out of their life with no warning or explanation, and so the first section of the film hit me like a tonne of bricks. I don't know if anyone gets yearning like Wong Kar Wai

(I also think it has other benefits beyond that in the slow process of telling Google less about myself, and it means that I have to be more proactive about actually saving a video I might want to watch again somewhere, building intentionality into how I engage with tech has been a focus for me)

I feel you on the struggling with casually watching through short form content. It's a bit extreme, but if you just turn off Watch History on YouTube then it will kill your ability to just go onto the shorts tab and get algorithmically recommended short form content there

I think that Crowds does actually broadly hold up to scrutiny, having rewatched it semi recently. It could be fairly criticised for overly condensing and simplifying what's actually necessary to pull people back from the brink of mob violence, but overall I think the themes and ideas are strong

The longest losing streak they've had is 5 internationals, from 2015 MSI until 2018 MSI. This is partly helped by the fact that MSI didn't start until 2015, so even though in Seasons 1-4 the LPL didn't win anything, only 4 official Riot international events were held in that time for them to not win
