Day 26 - Mel was lucky enough to be born with magic potential, but the spells she "knew" were imbued into her by her master, Mephis. Once that pact was severed at the end of Book 1, she lost all knowledge of them and must start again at square one.
Day 27 - Somewhat malleable, if you have the skill.

Day 25 - Magic is bound by non-heritable biology. A random mutation that cannot be passed down.

Day 27 - Some comps and obvious influences for my WIP include D&D, Fantastic Children, Xenogears, The Legend of Dragoon, and Final Fantasy(s) 4, 10, and 14.
Day 28 - Not really. While primarily a fantasy romance, a lot of other genres creep into the mix. Don't wanna be stale, now.
