Many new characters in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment follow a clever naming scheme: they're named for ancient real-world things related to what they are.

For example, the Mysterious Construct's name comes from the ancient practice of never revealing a character's true name until release. 😔

Calamo

A brave little Korok adventurer who is looking for "a place to put down roots."

Like other Warriors in Age of Imprisonment, Calamo seems to be named after something ancient. In this case, Calamophyton. This was a genus of tree that made up the oldest known forest!

Just who is this strange Construct, and where did they come from...?

All we know about this new ally is that they are capable of altering their body to fight and to fly through the sky. They seem to have some sort of bond with a Korok named Calamo...

Regarding the names of the Sages from Tears of the Kingdom/Age of Imprisonment, we will not attempt to 'translate' them from Japanese.

For the sake of consistency, we'll use direct romanizations until their names from the English localization are revealed.

Badly-made graphic provided for context.
