Buttigieg is a weathervane who isn't devoted to the issue in any direction, which enabled him in a matter of days to go from the meaningless pablum Democrats are used to issuing on I/P (his PSA interview) to committing to POLITICO that he'd recognize Palestine + restrict aid + not sign a new MOU.

Abundance types get very worked up about left Nimbys, anti-gentrification activists, etc. But this is deeply misleading when it comes to the actual politics of housing, at least in New York. Opposition to new housing comes overwhelmingly from the Right.
