My goodness! Never heard either nickname for a pencil sharpener - but every classroom had a Boston™️ sharpener mounted to a doorframe, and at home we had a desktop one - so no real need.

Well, I won't see numbers like this again until I go back to summer tires - 26.2 mpg - it'd be higher, but I started using the remote start a couple weeks ago.
I always forget how noisy the studded snows are.
Last fill was nearly 2 weeks ago. That's nice.

Noticed this beauty yesterday, the most vibrant color I've seen this fall - sure highlights the difference the drought made. This is a commercial property, and I'm sure they watered the little grass strip in front, and the maples benefitted.

Played my own game of "Stump the Dendrologist" yesterday.
Thought at first this was a grey birch (betula populifolia) because of the grey bands, but I stopped to look at it when I saw the really rough bark, then noticed the height.
This old guy is a poplar (aka quaking aspen (populous tremuloides)

Grrr - the not-sees (phonetic spelling) have been defacing property in Concord and Plymouth NH Glad people are trying to remove them.

Went rambling dirt back roads today, stopped at two old cemeteries. Nothing really pulls me in a direction like seeing a sign like this.
