To the bsky intern ghost writer: tell your bosses that "demand" means FIGHT - use your leverage. Don't give in 5 min after the angry calls stop. Chuck is already ready to cede the mask requirement. If he doesn't want to be known as the US' Neville Chamberlain, tell him to effing fight for once!

LOL whoever is ghost writing here how do you live with yourself? Your simpering coward of a boss already walked back even the most milktoast demand, said publicly a rule that using masks is ok in some circumstances.

Wanna bet the actual compromise ends up being essentially "whenever they want to"?

I just hope his wording was stern enough

That has to be wrong. Ezra Klein and Matt Yglesias just sold party leadership on this great plan for body cameras, stress pillows and muslim prayer rooms in detention camps.

But as we all wring our hands, let's also be clear: the task yesterday was to build media institutions independent of these greasy oligarchs. That task hasn't changed today, although maybe now we have more clarity and more urgency. Please support your chosen sources of independent media.

So frustrating that Dems will dump millions of $ into longshot campaigns in KY, SC, etc. but there is so little investment in progressive media. I get like 5 right wing tv channels vs. on the left we have Maddow and some anti-Trump GOPers on MSNBC. The party and grifter consultants partly to blame

Once again the senator has his finger firmly on the pulse of 1996

When it comes to being blisteringly, predictably wrong about everything ... he did it the right way

I believe it was the late great Leslie Nielsen who said it best:

There is no need to be immature about it, Mr. Poopypants

Love that you are fighting sir, wish more Dems did. But I'm meh on going on Fox. "Thank you for joining us while I cut you off after 30 sec of loaded questions Sen. Murphy, now to hear both sides, 5 min of uninterrupted lies from a GOP stooge, with patriotic music and flags waving in the backgound"

He does court packing the right way

Glad to hear it Senator but "I'm a yes/no" is not a useful frame. Given our slide toward fascism, there is either "we are stopping this" when you have power to (and in this case you do!) Or "we are letting this happen" as we see too often (e.g. support by enough Dems for the $75B to ICE last yr)
January 30, 2026 at 11:40 PM
So doing the right thing now that Repubs agree for the moment? Well thought out Senator, great strategy, you have my sarcastic slow clap applause.

Last week Sen Murray claimed we can't do anything b/c ICE is already funded. Another coward-crat who can't learn a lesson staring her in the face.

Sen Warren is one of the few willing to call out Dems who won't fight like she did on the billionaire "abundance" movement. Pls do so on this issue too - the prob is not "the Senate" - its Schumer and the ~20 Dem Sens who would rather do nothing than fight republicans. Please call them out BY NAME.
January 27, 2026 at 3:53 PM
I wish you showed the same courage. Have you ever stood up for anything because it was the right thing to do without asking for Republicans to approve it?

Don't agree that the goal of the protest is to inform Palantir employees but rather to impose a cost and consequences to being an a-hole - i.e. turn anyone who works there into a social pariah - especially for someone who lives in the bay area!
January 27, 2026 at 12:34 AM
I don't believe in doxxing regular people but as a Prez of Palantir, Akash Jain mentioned in the article is a public figure. From a quick search he lives in Oakland, CA. I'm lazy and live far away but wonder if its worth organizing a protest - legally, respectfully - outside his residence...
January 26, 2026 at 10:56 PM
doubt it. A long time ago in a galaxy far away, hard right Repubs might have supported someone like Jesse Ventura, but the 35% or whatever % of MN that is Trump dead-ender would never support him after veering from the party line about protesters being terrorists
January 26, 2026 at 3:58 PM
Just to be clear - his career as an elected Republican

I'm sure he'll do fine overall. MSNBC probably has a prime time chair waiting for him already
January 26, 2026 at 3:44 PM
What do you call a Republican with a conscience?

A former Republican

But I'm sure he knows his career is over, hats off to him for standing up
January 26, 2026 at 3:41 PM
Love and support
Part of me wants you to only strike in republican states/districts but your call
January 25, 2026 at 6:11 AM
Republican's must "stand up"
Even Dem staffers shadow writing on bsky have cowardice in their core. 10 yrs of Trump, now the brink of fascism, and you can't be on the clear f-ing right side of things w/o approval of GOP daddies. You are awful. Tell the useless Sen go back to her hockey photo ops
January 25, 2026 at 6:09 AM
"Republican's must work with us"
Even low level DC Dem staffers shadow writing on bsky have such moral cowardice in their rotten core. 10 yrs of Trump and now the brink of fascism, and you can't be on the easiest fucking right side of things w/o approval of your GOP daddies. You are dogshit awful.
