- apple comes with a old bash shell so make sure to add util packages to your config or add the gnu shell
- disable icloud (not a nix thing I'm just still salty)

- for hm unless your using the app via terminal you need to set the package to empty so like this `programs.kitty.package = pkgs.emptyDirectory;`

with homebrew i have: kitty, docker (cause in mac you have to launch docker desktop), raycast, yabai
this works great! macos hates sym links so nix can be clunky, but homemanager still works awesome
a few quirks tho...

- use nix for things you use in the terminal
- home brew and nix play really well together
