Her background as a siren huntress makes her a terrifying force to reckon with, especially since her claws contain toxins which can cause immediate paralysis in whatever part of the body they puncture (don't worry! It's only temporary)

Under no circumstances should she be challenged near any body of water.

Ref Sheet for my OCs Tungsten and Sodium, with turnarounds and diagrams explaining various features and functions, as well as two blurbs describing their personalities.

Tungsten:
Has a foreboding presence, but he's surprisingly kind and intelligent. Rarely speaks.
His extreme weight and low center of mass makes him almost impossible to knock down.

Sodium:
Can best be described as “pure rage given physical form,” but he can be very sweet and loving when he wants to be.
Can ricochet around an arena with nearly limitless momentum.

Here's a project that's been on the back burner for a while: introducing KNELL RANK, a story following the exploits of a mismatched trio in a world ravaged by an ongoing war between demons and machines!

Meanwhile, on the other side of the city…
“gimme another one, Sams!” Says a weevil sitting at a bar in a diner. The cockroach standing behind the bar responds “alright, but I'm cutting you off there.”
As he fills up a glass at the tap, the whole room starts shaking.
“What was that?!” Yells the weevil after the shaking subsides.
“Probably the Dungdome,” Says the cockroach, calmly, “It's tussling night tonight.”
“Want to know what happens next, dear listener?” Says a voice coming from the radio on the counter, “Well, you can read all about the extraordinary exploits of our death defying damsels in Cibarium: Sixth City! Coming soon to a website near you!”

9:
Ara looks up into the beady eyes of Tungsten.
“Um… hi?” She squeaks.
He grabs her by the leg and reels back, ready to throw.
“H-Hey, I have an idea!” says Ara, dangling, “maybe we could share the- YAAAGH!”
He throws her with full force.
Val catches her right before she hits the ground and pulls her up.
“Why don't you let me handle this guy?” she says.

10:
Val drops Ara behind the ropes and steps onto the log, “I have an old score to settle anyway,” she says.
Tungsten throws a punch, but Val dodges and knees him in the gut.
He has to pause to catch his breath, at which point he looks up in realization.
“Wait,” he says, "I remember that move… Bismuth?”

11:
Val puts on an awkward expression. “Ugh,” she thinks, “I was afraid this would happen.”
“Yeah,” she says out loud,“it's uhh, it's Val now, actually.”
Tungsten pulls her in for a bear hug.
“You look amazing!” He says, “how've you been lately?”
“I've been… fine,” she replies.
“The whole team misses you!” He continues, “well, except Mercury, I guess. You know how she is. How's Iron, by the way?”
“can we get back to hitting each other?” interjects Val.
“Oh! Right!” He says, “we’ll catch up later.”
He walks off the end of the log and into the audience.

12:
What's he doing?” Asks Ara from behind the ropes.
“his signature move,” replies Val, “you might want to hold on to something.”
“Get a hold of your antennae, folks!” Says the Announcer as Tungsten climbs to the top of the dome, “this next move could knock ‘em clean off! Get ready to witness… THE ORBITAL LOG QUAKE!”
Tungsten lets go, and starts falling back towards the log.

5:
Atom rings the gong, and the two combatants, Ara and Sodium, run towards each other. Ara attempts to kick Sodium, but he leaps high in the air, and she misses him completely.
“Woah!” She says, smirking, “hey! That's a pretty good leap for a little guy like you!”
“Little??” Says Sodium, “little?! Don't patronize me, woman!”

6:
“Woman??” Says Ara, “who's patronizing who- wait, where are you going?”
“Looks like Sodium's preparing for his signature move!” Says the announcer as Sodium leans against the rope, “the cannonball catalyst!”
“cannonball what now?” says Ara.
Sodium uses the ropes like a slingshot, propelling himself into her chest with incredible force.
“WOO-HOO!” He yells as he ricochets off her and bounces off the walls of the stadium.

7:
“I may be small, but I'm volatile!” Sodium screams as he bounces off Ara multiple times, “I'm explosive! I'm burning brighter than the sun!”
“Ara!” Yells Val, “use your reverse jump!”
“reverse…?” Mumbles Ara, “oh! Right! Reverse jump! Good idea!”

8:
“I'm making gravy without the lu-!” Yells Sodium, flying in for another strike.
Pow!
Right as he makes contact, Ara kicks with her legs and sends him flying, this time without control.
He bounces around like a pinball before face-planting directly into the mud.
“Amazing!” Cries the announcer, “Aurora has just taken down the red rumble himself!”
“It's Ara!” Yells Ara, angrily.
“Yeah, whatever.” Replies the ref.
The log starts shaking.
“Uh oh.” Says Ara, as a shadow looms over her.

1:
An announcement rings out over a crowded stadium underneath a glass dome.
“Welcome welcome welcome to the tussle of the century!”
A large, padded cylinder is suspended horizontally in the center of the stadium. At either end of the cylinder is a set of platforms. An announcer is standing in the center.
“At this end of the log, hailing from the buried city of Aridum, you know ‘em, you love ‘em, they're two of the four toughest tusslers on Heeth, give it up for Tungsten and Sodium!”
The announcer points to two bugs standing at one end of the cylinder. One is a European stag beetle, and the other one, who's standing on the beetle's head, is a red velvet mite.
The mite is flexing heroically. The impact of the gesture is somewhat reduced by his miniscule stature.
“And at the other end…”

2:
“We have today's suck– I mean, challengers! Who I already forgot the names of!”
The announcer points at Ara and Val, who are standing behind the ropes on the opposite end.
“Are you really sure about this?” asks Val.
“Sure I'm sure!” Replies Ara, “I used to be an athlete, remember? I can handle getting tossed around!”
“That might be more literal than you think…” suggests Val, “the Maximum Metals are the most infamous team in the federation! They go from city to city beating up anyone stupid enough to challenge them, and none of the challengers have even lasted three rounds!”
Ara thinks for a second, and then absentmindedly says “hmm, I think I'm gonna drop kick the little guy.”
“Did you hear anything I just said?!” Asks Val.
“Alright, bugs!” Cries the announcer, “we've only got three rules here…”

3:
“Teammates can only tag in once per round, so don't waste it! If you hit the mud, you're out of the game, and the last team standing wins!”
“Light-weights! Step onto the log, and let's get this dung rolling!”
Ara and Sodium (the mite) climb over the ropes onto the log.
“Just please remember what I taught you!” Says Val worriedly.
“Hey, relax.” Replies Ara, “I'll be perfectly fi-”
Woosh! Ara is cut off by a gust of wind.

4:
“As per tradition,” says the announcer over the wind from Atom's wings, “our -GAH!-”
He snatches his ten gallon hat before it can escape in the breeze.
“...Our flight endowed volunteer will ring in the first round.”
Atom lands in the middle of the log, wearing a skimpy swimsuit and holding a gong mallet.
Ara and Val stare at them.
“...what?” says Atom, staring back at them, “I have the hips for it!”
The announcer climbs down on a ladder, and Atom flies up towards the gong hanging from the top of the dome. They reel back, imitating a baseball player ready to hit a home run…

No burgers as such, but here's a couple burger-ish foods =:3

(Note that not every arthropod in the world of Cibarium is sapient. Clam shrimp, isopods, and millipedes are commonly kept as livestock)

The Maximum Metals wouldn't be complete without Radium!
What he lacks in... Well, everything, he makes up for with his ability to temporarily blind opponents with his luminous abdomen!
Also they can fly. That's probably important.

Being a technological genius, she's tried to replace their wings with removable prosthetics. They aren't as practical or as painless as the real thing, but they work in a pinch.

Been working on an Atom redesign. Probably gonna tweak this some more before I make a new ref sheet.

In this version their wings were removed as punishment at a young age. The device on their chest keeps them from being regenerated via bio-hacking.

Up til now I've been making most of my art on an android tablet using InfinitePainter (an ironically limited program), but I've just started using CSP and OH MY GOD it is so much better. The chains are off folks. God help us all.
