Np! Krita DEFINITELY works better with drawing tablets. I would even recommend using Krita with a tablet over a touchscreen drawing laptop (which is what a mostly use).

I would def recommend Medibang & Krita if your looking for some detailed intermediate softwares. But if your just looking for something to get your feet wet then I would use Sketchbook ( I started with this one)

Np! I completely understand though, I got rid of a Wacom tablet in the past because the pen pressure was terrible and I never used it. It's just about finding what works... and if it doesn't you can always resell/return it!

Speaking from a person who has a drawing tablet & laptop perspective, they are more expensive but if you draw ALOT totally worth it. I personally love surface pros, so even if you get an older version, its still worth it 💯
