The animation actually changed quite a bit so I had to adjust the hitbox with my eyes only. People over talk about UTilt when it comes to unreasonable hitboxes but I'd argue this was way more egregious.

@pkbeats.bsky.social's new video had me curious about the Spiny Shell. He are the hitboxes in this order: Idle, pre-explosion, Explosion.
Because of the pre-explosion hitbox, the explosion is a 2-hit attack. It's active during the entire up and down animation the shell blows up with.

In Ultimate, the sweetspot is at the tip, making it overall better at long ranges despite the... worse placement.
