All wrong somethings in the end! I've looked at its code and it was just extremely confused by a (Ruby) implicit keyword argument issue in a method call without parenthesis. I added the missing parenthesis and voilà! It must have worked on that for 30+ minutes and I fixed it in a few seconds.
