for sure, but we're also basically comparing a sail plan that's been the same for hundreds of years with no quality of life improvements to our modern sensibilities and needs. My personal opinion is that when people care about things, they try them, and I don't think I've seen that w/ them very much

For sure there's respect for them, but that crab claw sail's not popular at all these days is what I'm referring to. It's a hard design to make work on the rigging of today yeah, but you'd see more of them if people cared enough is my view
