Early Warning Systems that focus on single hazards often fail to capture the full range of risks communities face, leading to fragmented and inefficient response efforts. The @zcralliance.bsky.social is working with communities to close these gaps through the development of multi-hazard approaches.

Through a budget study, messaging around #DisasterRiskReduction investment, and community resilience data, Mercy Corps and @undp.org influenced the adoption and disbursement of a 5% budget provision for resilience activities in Sudurpaschim province, Nepal.

Through community advocacy work in Tana River County, @concernworldwide.bsky.social influenced the government to increase its budget for #DisasterRiskReduction from 2% to 10%. During the 2023 floods, these funds supported better preparedness, response and recovery.
