My job as Treasurer is to prepare Nevada for times of crisis. 1 in 6 Nevadans' losing SNAP benefits tomorrow is a crisis. We have the money to keep Nevadans fed in November.
We must take urgent action.

SNAP benefits for almost 500,000 Nevadans end in 2 days. I’m grateful to AG Ford for suing the Trump Administration to protect SNAP. We need an all-of-government approach to keep Nevadans fed this November, which is why I will continue to advocate for a bipartisan, state-based solution as well.

The Trump Administration cut the entire staff for a program that helps rural, Tribal, and low-income Nevadans get a leg up by providing small business loans. I talked to KRNV News 4 in Reno about it.

President Donald Trump is refusing to negotiate the federal budget with our elected representatives in Washington. In the Nevada Treasury, we are implementing emergency measures to limit harm to Nevadans in case he shuts down the federal government.

Good news! Lincoln County is getting a new medical clinic in Caliente. The State Infrastructure Bank just voted to provide the funding to make it happen.
