Unfortunately, I didn't watch one horror movie a day for October just like last year, but I'm going to celebrate Halloween by recommending some nice little cult classic horror films for y'all to watch on this particularly spooky day since I'm in the mood for it.

Happy Halloween!

Probably the Styracosaurus from Dead Sound's Dinosauria. Especially the Old Buck. There's just something about it that's so regal, powerful, and intimidating. The color scheme and overall aesthetic reminds me a lot of Nihonga style Japanese paintings as well.

May the fires you stoked to forge the finest and heaviest of Metals never grow cold. May your legacy be as infinite as the darkness you lord over.

Until we meet again, O Prince of Darkness. Or should I say King of Darkness?

RIP Ozzy. King of Darkness.

2025 is the 100th anniversary for Carcharodontosaurus' description and the 50th anniversary for the release of JAWS? Say it ain't so!

Thank you, Caitlin Brando for this lovely comm combining these two sharky fellows!

Hearing the live action HTTYD remake is basically a 1:1 remake just reminds me of when we all rightfully lambasted Gus Van Sant's PSYCHO remake for being a derivative copy of Hitchcock's original film.

But I guess it's okay to do this, now that nostalgia-addicted yobbos affect the market.

Addendum: I just remembered that Gigantoraptor made its franchise debut in Jurassic World Evolution 2 via DLC pack.

Regardless of my error, I stand by its inclusion as both an opportunity for the series to be more creative with megatheropods and to show the GA just how diverse dinosaurs could be.
April 24, 2025 at 6:23 PM
Now we have eleven dinosaurs and that's a good number already, buuuut just to fill the quota of obligatory sauropod, we'll add in another Japanese dinosaur, Fukuititan. One of the "smaller" sauropods, its size could be used for more creative scenes.
April 24, 2025 at 3:58 AM
The role of marketable plushie will instead go to the next dinosaurs on this list. Microraptor and Anchiornis. These two dinosaurs we know for a fact how they looked like, right down to the pigments in their feathers, so there is no way this franchise would fuck them up (they will).
April 24, 2025 at 3:52 AM
For the obligatory raptor, we will NOT be using Achillobator nor the real Velociraptor. Instead we will be using the first Japanese dinosaur on this list, Fukuivenator. It is believed to be an omnivorous Maniraptoran and that could lend to an interesting scene.
April 24, 2025 at 3:48 AM
Our next dinosaur would be Shantungosaurus, the largest hadrosaur that we know of. And unlike most hadrosaurs in this franchise, it will be a hostile dickhead instead of just background dressing or fodder for the predators. This thing would be just as feared as the Tarbo and Gigantoraptor.
April 24, 2025 at 3:43 AM
From now on, it's purely first timers.

Our next dinosaur would be none other than Gigantoraptor. And it would be the main antagonist dinosaur because it would be fucking awesome for a giant oviraptorosaur to be in the same league as T. rex, and Spinosaurus.
April 24, 2025 at 3:42 AM
Psittacosaurus made its debut in the franchise in the Universal Studios ride and would be making its return here.

It would be preferable using the species with actual color pigments preserved because there would be no way the franchise would screw that up (they will).
April 24, 2025 at 3:39 AM
The reason I specified from the films is because our next two showed up in spinoff material.

Tarbosaurus will be our obligatory T. rex stand-in. The toy design would be used because fuck that ugly design from Camp Cretaceous. This design helps differentiate it from Tyrannosaurus enough.
April 24, 2025 at 3:38 AM
To start off, we'll be using returning dinosaurs FROM THE FILMS for the first few entries on this list.

Gallimimus, Therizinosaurus, Oviraptor, and Microceratus will all be returning.

Without downloading new pictures, where are you mentally?

He shows up VERY briefly in the first Jurassic World. He also shows up in the Camp Cretaceous show congratulating Darius on winning an exclusive prize from a game.
February 7, 2025 at 10:24 PM
Jurassic World: Rebirth has an aura of cowardice surrounding it.

Instead of properly exploring dinosaurs in the mainland, we go to yet another fucking island.

The designs are more accurate, but not really.

And another mutant dinosaur. Because regular dinosaurs are soooo boring, apparently.

Question. Godzilla is routinely compared to cats when it comes to behavior, personality, and even appearance.

With that in mind, did you subconsciously have cats in mind when you drew these concept sketches for the unmade '94 film?
