And to get back to my own personal videos, the majority of my videos don't contain any content I'd deem inappropriate for kids. Yet a lot of them are blocked. If the AI that will determine your age is even half as bad as the AI that determines the videos, you're screwed.

Oh and on another note, a video that contains the word fuck or has an ad in it is blocked, but the music video for G.U.Y. by Lady Gaga, which I would consider much less kid-friendly than those, is still available in restricted mode.

In many countries you are able to drive below 18, or even vote. This means watching a video that contains a sponsorship or a swear word would be impossible for you multiple years after you're able to vote.

Now again I wouldn't call her content kid-friendly, but I think it's important to consider here that these restrictions don't apply to children under 10 or 12, these will apply if the AI thinks you are under 18. That is a legal adult in most countries.

Another creator I watch a lot, Emma Thorne, also has a significant amount of her videos blocked. This includes her recent video on book banning and ironically her latest video on a children's animation.

Restricted mode would also make me believe she last streamed over a year ago, and that she only has 17 public livestreams. She may not be a family friendly creator, but I'd be surprised if there isn't a large amount of her audience under 18 from the US.

A creator I watch a lot, Mayro, uploaded 20 videos less than a year ago. Only 6 of those exist in restricted mode. This includes the expected ones, but also the one on sexuality, the reactions and the Mario 3D world ROM hacking video for some reason

A few of my own videos, including my 2 latest ones (one of which doesn't have anything in them that could even remotely be considered non-family friendly) just don't exist.
