Speaking of affordability or actual the lack thereof in many cases. The average price of a beer at a MLB ballpark this year was $7.18, with the Washington Nationals topping the list at $15.40. Not surprisingly the Colorado Rockies playing at Coors field is the cheapest at $3.08.

After watching last night’s classic 18 inning drama in the WS, it is too bad MLB doesn’t really games like yesterday due to their ghost runner rule used in season. MLB wake up and get rid of the ghost runner!!!

Spend matters: the WS this year has the #1 payroll (Dodgers) vs the #5 payroll (Blue Jays). Also 6 of the top spending organizations made the post season which makes up half of the playoff teams.

Eight World Series have extended into November: 2001, 2009, 2010, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2021, and 2022 for a total of 15 games played in that month. If this year’s series goes 7 games it will be played on Nov. 1st. I’m sorry the baseball season is way too long. November and baseball do not go together.
