ALSO, Sega still exists twenty five years later, despite having to bow out in much worse financial shape and amongst a massive crash for the japanese side of the industry. Microsoft would pull in big money just publishing games, selling game pass, and manufacturing Xbox controllers with USB ports.

Honestly, and I say this believing that, out of the Big Three, Xbox probably had the most positive impact on this industry throughout the twenty first century, they should Do a Sega. Game Pass is doing better as a brand than Xbox is, and can appear on any platform that's willing to host it.

Modern gamers don't believe me that most of the Wiis I've encountered in the wild only had their copy of Wii Sports. No other game case. My peers were all on Xbox, but man the elderly couple that let me hang out after school would school me at Wii Bowling.
