The Cone Nebula and Christmas Tree Cluster (NGC 2264) in narrowband.

40xHa, 32xSii/Oiii @ 300s (~8.5hrs)

Lobster Claw nebula, following Adam Block's (newish) narrowband processing method where Ha -> Red, Oiii -> Blue/Green, and Sii sprinkled in as the yellow highlights.

Nearly 14 hours of data in this image.

WR 134 and it's surrounding bubble nebula blown out by the strong stellar winds and intense radiation emanating from the star.

2hrs ea Ha/Sii/Oiii
Ha -> Red
Oiii -> Blue/Green
Sii => Yellow highlights

A small M51 - Whirlpool Galaxy. Testing out my new easy mode/travel setup with an Askar SQA55 and ASI533MC.

This scope is a real treat to use - definitely the nicest optics I've worked with so far though not a great choice for galaxy season lol

Globular cluster M3, containing around 500,000 gravitationally bound stars. Just something to image for a bit after my main target disappeared behind the house.

Did you know sunspot regions are tracked? The big one in the middle is sunspot 4048 (colors inverted) made up of 31 individual sunspots - most of which are bigger than the earth.

This image was taken with my Lunt 50 and a 2.5x barlow.

Two takes on the Monkey Head nebula (NGC 2174). About 5 hours total exposure time on the first clear night in weeks.

Jupiter and Io tonight.

Captured with my 8" SCT and a 2.5x barlow.

Mars being occulted by the Moon (2025/1/13) in infrared. My first time using an IR filter which supposedly helps mitigate the affects of bad atmospheric conditions but the seeing was so bad in any case I'm not sure it mattered.

IC 443 - Jellyfish nebula. A supernova remnant that I guess someone decided looks like a jellyfish, though I see more of a gross sunken-in brain.

First real project with my new 5" refactor, Askar 130PHQ w/ the 0.7x reducer.

Acquisition:
28xHa @ 300s
20xSii @ 300s
20xOiii @ 300s

Testing out my new telescope, the Askar 130PHQ, with a quick 3h integration of M45 (the Pleiades).

I was surprised to find it taking over 2 hours for the telescope to reach thermal equilibrium. There's a lot of glass to cool down and last night was very cold.

Composite image of a waxing gibbous moon (90% of the way to a full moon).

This final image is composed of 26 raw video recordings from which the best frames from each recording were stacked and then stitched together. The raw data totaled just over 100gb.
