CAN YOU PEOPLE GIVE UP ON LIBERAL DEMOCRACY ALREADY
April 13, 2025 at 5:02 AM
That’s what I’m against: they should not be entering the social, public or political sphere. People’s personal beliefs are not my problem.
April 12, 2025 at 7:21 AM
People’s faiths are not neutral. They infringe upon other people’s freedoms.

Leftists in every successful revolution ever

Finding my people. I don’t put romantic relationships on a pedestal as the absolute end goal for life. Because at a point I realized what I’m looking for isn’t a relationship but someone who actually connects with me. And I don’t need a relationship for that 🤷🏾‍♂️

This should be a law

Because the system meant they were closed off to US imperial hegemony. The problem wasn’t socialism, the problem was the country having self determination (hello Wilson) and kicking out US fruit companies, which would in turn hurt their profits. The state defends capital and capital alone.
April 10, 2025 at 7:55 PM
That’s amazing! Relationships become so much stronger when you realize you don’t have to give your everything absolutely all the time, and unlearn societal expectations that you do. The ideal we’ve been sold is so fragile.
April 10, 2025 at 6:39 PM
Oh yeah. We wanted that to happen. *brings out fascism*
April 10, 2025 at 6:05 PM
Well the impression I was getting was that you were a liberal saying a lot of the right things but attaching them to the wrong ideology. I’d have to learn more about what this early American ideal was to actually understand your perspective. Do you have any resources to recommend?
April 10, 2025 at 5:12 PM
Then I’m likely strawmanning you as a reformist liberal. What exactly do we agree on? Can you say it more clearly?
April 10, 2025 at 4:54 PM
As long as the state has control over every sector of society, every sector of society can be changed at the subtle flip of the switch. Nobody should be at the mercy of a group of individuals and think tanks changing their opinion. Each community should be autonomous.
April 10, 2025 at 4:39 PM
And as for your point about reversing neoliberalism: the point was that neoliberalism had the power to erode these reforms in the first place. It led to thousands of preventable deaths as a result. It happened once, it can happen again. We need a revolution that cannot be reversed.
April 10, 2025 at 4:39 PM
If you’re for law enforcement, that can happen without the state. Law enforcement and conflict resolution existed in stateless societies, and still exist in autonomous communities and indigenous communities.
April 10, 2025 at 4:39 PM
When I refer to state, I’m referring to that. The state didn’t arise to protect people; it arose to protect class dominance. It is not neutral, and it always picks a side. It defends capital and not people.
April 10, 2025 at 4:39 PM
monopolize (at least ideally) the legitimate use of force and codification of morality. The state has power over everything and everybody. Alternatively, this is a good definition as well
April 10, 2025 at 4:39 PM
A lot of people who make that argument about the state’s existence have a disparity about what anarchists define as a state. A state is a bureaucratic, territorial, coercive organization with multiple levels of administration, in which power is institutional rather than personal, and power-holders
April 10, 2025 at 4:39 PM
So the current state of things is not the natural state of things and not the way things have to be.
April 10, 2025 at 1:18 PM
Pre-capitalist societies and stateless societies did not collapse naturally. The majority were taken over by force via imperialism or violence.
April 10, 2025 at 1:13 PM
because reformism still holds the colonial paternalism that assumes the people must have things done for them because they can’t do it themselves — but they can, and they did it in many societies before capitalism and statism came about.
April 10, 2025 at 1:13 PM
The revolution we need is irreversible. Both communism and capitalist reforms are reversible. The power needs to be taken out of the hands of the bourgeoisie and the state and given to the people in decentralized and autonomous regions that take care of ourselves;
April 10, 2025 at 1:13 PM
Same goes with worker protections, progressive taxation to tax cuts, Financial Regulation to deregulation, etc. etc. Europe was already in the place of a best of both worlds system in the 1900s, but the rise of neoliberalism in the 80s eroded it and continues to erode it.
