Just this guy, you know? (he/him)

gamer (videot and TTRPG), avid reader, coffee lover, and music lover.

Queer, hermit, and sometimes tired of the world.

I cook for a living.
The cards are something that D&D has had for years, they just integrated it better (also you can just print off whatever cards you want).

You can have a card with the info instead of pulling out a book, makes it so less people need to have a book. I find it very player friendly (and wallet).

Oh yeah, I have a lot of their books sitting on my shelf now.

So I think it's cool that they are going to use the system that Critical Role put out. Feels a bit full circle in a way. PA had a huge hand in making Actual Play popular, which brought us CR.

Now PA will use Daggerheart, which exists because of the success of CR.

Sorta cool.

CR is somewhat more beholden to D&D. I was a little sad that the new campaign wasn't using Daggerheart, but I understood. Their brand is about D&D and they would lose too much switching to their own system Daggerheart.

PA can do what they want, their fans are not necessarily about the system.

People were pissed that Critical Role didn't say much about it, and pointed at Penny Arcade who were pretty vocal.

PA isn't really beholden to anyone but their fans. They have always made it clear to advertisers that if they don't like something they will say something.

I have a number of LEGO sets that I bought because of the pieces / colors and not because I had any interest in the set itself.

Favorite thing is the wall at the LEGO store, get a container full of whatever parts they have up, sometimes have some really useful pieces that are hard to get lot of.

The move to graveyard has had me reading even more than usual, as it is an easier hyperfocus than games or TV with my present schedule.

BUT, I am going to load up Enshrouded soon to play with friends, and I have several TV shows to watch when I want to veg out I suppose.

I also read through all of Hellboy.

I can't recall what else I read, but honestly the main series I did were pretty big. I know I also re-read a young adult series, but I am blanking on which one.

At the moment I have several books sitting on the kindle to read, and it's mostly about mood.

Hey, a track that really is pretty bad instead of hated because it was so overplayed (which is what I feel I usually see).

The track sounds vaguely familiar, but I just don't quite remember it.

I love Was (Not Was) but this track isn't for everyone.

Oddly enough I actually have your first book sitting in my 'to-read' list, so maybe I'll jump into that next.

I think it's doable, though I would probably use potato starch to replace flour rather than straight up mashed potatoes.

Similar to this gluten free quick puff recipe:

Only thing I can think of is Pommes Dauphine, which is a kind of puff (not puff pastry, but similar to pate a choux, which you use to make cream puffs).

I dunno... "Throw Mama From the Train" maybe?

It was an interesting dynamic. Scully came in already respecting Mulder. Mulder viewed her as an agent to shepard through the politics of being an agent (once he realized she was a pawn in another’s game)

As the series went on it was easy to forget how capable they were even at the start.
December 3, 2025 at 12:15 AM
Then there was Scully.

She seemed pretty newly out of training. She had quite a bit more education than Mulder, with her BS in physics and MD making her a full doctor.

She didn’t have the connections, political clout, or conman charm Mulder had. Though he did have a decade of experience on her.

I've made them with diced pork or diced beef. Actually have the recipe adaptable to basically any protein option (or just do it vegetarian and use lentils and beans or whatever).

It's basically just stew topped with mashed potatoes anyways.

I remember a fast casual place that had Italian wraps like this as one of their major items. Pasta and sauce and so on in a wrap.

Can't remember the name of the place, but it was pretty good.

I'm still trying to process book three, it was such a mind fuck.

Looking forward to book 5, also looking forward to the next Zoey book because I love that setting.

Because they knew what was coming and they know what they did was wrong.

So they are trying to convince everyone that 15 year olds are adults, and they are trying to push that younger.

Don't let them do it. They are a bunch of predators who deserve to be punished for what they have done.
