Lucky to live in the beautiful #forestofdean I was at the wonderfully named Wilderness Centre today, and this was the view over the river Severn.

Popped over the border into Wales to see our mates, The Scowles play an early evening gig at the Three Tuns in Chepstow. The place was buzzing and they played a belter. I didn't get any photos of the band but I did get a bonus shot of Chepstow castle looking atmospheric as we came out of the pub.

Currently pondering colour combinations for my next knitting project. I've got a selection of yarns that I've spun myself, but I'm not sure which options will work. The deep teal is the main one I want to use. 🧶

Not posted for a wee while so I thought I'd share some of my recent spinning efforts. My technique is slowly improving.

I don't usually post much about my spinning and knitting exploits but I just finished this project with yarn I spun myself and I'm pretty chuffed with it. It's all autumnal colours, which remind me of our lovely Forest of Dean, and will be really cosy. #knitting #handspinning #handspun

1/2 I was at a friend's funeral yesterday and this was the first song played as we walked into the chapel. It was one of her favourites. I had quite a long journey home, and as I turned the radio on in the car on the last leg ...

Beautiful day at Alvor on the Algarve coast in Portugal. We saw some colourful fishing boats, some with eyes painted on their prow, which seem to be to ward off bad luck and/or sea monsters.

Having one of those wakeful early mornings when you know you'll drop off into the best sleep you've ever had, just as it's time to get up for work! #sleepless #overthinking

I confess I'm quite chuffed with this. The Moon casts an aura through the clouds, and there is a sight of Jupiter through a nicely placed gap. I deliberately kept the power lines and telegraph pole in the shot as I liked the effect.

So I joined today but have no real idea how this all works! Here's a few photos of the Forest of Dean, where I live, to kick start my feed.
