Definitely could be, but my guess is that he probably just wanted to see what the open market looked like and maybe he wants to see where the other QBs end up so that he can make sure he still has the best chance to start.

Knowing the options out there right now, I still say bring back Fields. I don't think anybody else moves the needle and Darnold, Rodgers, Wilson, etc will all likely cost more.
