I was selected as a recipient for the 2025 International Development and Research Council of Canada’s Doctoral Awards! I’m honoured that my PhD research on how coastal communities are impacted by blue carbon projects was selected in the ‘sustainable inclusive economies’ stream @ires.ubc.ca
Changing the carbon tax into carbon credits and other market based approaches shouldn't be the sole climate action that Canada pursues, but current unregulated carbon markets do need government oversight to ensure equitable and effective outcomes for communities. www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHl2...
