I'm visiting London & accidentally walked by this today. The protest was calm & peaceful but I didn't feel safe because of the police, not the protesters. There were 100+ police vans descending on the area & police marching in like soldiers. The protestors had a "peace" sign - how is that a threat?

Yes. WTF can I do!? I escaped a red state for a blue state but that didn't help. I'm trying to support my local community but daydream about leaving the US. I remind myself we are in a dark age and focusing locally is how to survive.
