Exactly! It’s exactly the same! And while I might know that Deutsch means the language German, I don’t know how to write ‘a German’ or ‘Germans’ or ‘the German king’ in German. Now you are introducing errors in your copy. Meanwhile this is how a Zulu journalist writes about the Zulu nation.

Actually we do. What you fail to understand is that the fact that you are using his country of origin as a slur now, when you did not call him a South African billionaire when you where exalting him speaks to your intentions. That’s comprehension.

I was enjoying this article until this paragraph. This equating of movements of African groups in 400 AD in a borderless continent where lands were not owned, to the movement of Europeans who were already coming from contemporary states so ‘we are all migrants’ disenfranchises Black South Africans.

I was enjoying the article I got here and now I’m fuming. Retrofitting ideas of contemporary statehood onto a people who did not believe that land is something to be owned so that people who’ve been here since 400 AD are migrants? I want to break things.

The problem with the ‘both sides are the same’ column writing style is this BS. We all know that Putin and Xi etc are not Trump’s concern. Agoa is a direct retaliation against our stand on Israel. In the 30 years of a free SA, we’ve never not been friends with these countries.
