Colorado school board races overwhelmingly went to candidates who support public. Colorado free lunch had been approved in 2022 by voters, though LL and MM will help grow it with more money for getting produce, meat, and other food products from local farmers.

NYT still biased in what should be a straightforward headline of Mamdani being voted in by voters. Strode is also an interesting word choice, which makes it seem like he easily became mayor (which can’t be further from the truth).

Congrats! That’s a huge win!! School board elections are so, so important and I love hearing that the people who are intent on destroying education are losing.

I love to see this.

Great news. Colorado also appears to be on track to restore public school friendly candidates. Night isn’t over, but so far so good.

I was actually worried it wouldn’t pass. But public Ed has had a good night in Colorado. A lot of us taught all day and then knocked doors after work, talking to the community about who to support for the school board and mill levy overrides. Exhausting and it makes a difference.

And also in CO, school board races appear be going to public school friendly candidates. The MFL and tech backed candidates are losing.

We teach civics in high school. Colorado has it required for graduation.
