You don't debate fascism — you crush it. Or else it crushes you.

These people are irredeemably wicked.

Don't for a second let them convince you that it's you who are evil if you celebrate when they're gone.

A new international flotilla — the Global Sumud Flotilla — is currently sailing from Mediterranean ports with hundreds of people to attempt to break the imperialist siege of Gaza.

Aboard are journalists, artists, activists, actors and doctors and exclusively humanitarian supplies (food, medicine).

Gave the skink who was trapped for a few days in a bin some water. Poor guy was thirsty. Now they're hanging out below my German thyme plant. Hope they're going to be okay.

I rooted a fig branch last summer and this summer it's giving me fruit, despite being only 60 cm tall.

A mature fig tree will give you more daily fruit for a few months each summer than you'll know what to do with.

If you've never had a fresh summer fig and you get the chance to try one, do it.

Nuclear weapons are, ofc, very dangerous

But the idea that one, or even a few, warheads could pose an « existential threat » to the United States is braindead hysterics

That media outlets (ABC News in this case) are repeating these claims without challenge is criminal warmongering, not journalism

𝘌𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘢 𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘭𝘢 'Snowy Egret' and 𝘈𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘢 𝘢𝘭𝘣𝘢 'Great White Egret' (right).

Not the best photo. I was impatient and startled the little one before I could get more shots.

𝘊𝘢𝘱𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘶𝘮 sp., volunteer.

My favorite type of « weed » : a volunteer plant growing from seed one of my garden plants dropped last year.

It's a chili cultivar with green and purple leaves.

This one was growing between the pavers.

After gently sliding it out of its little hole, it's now repotted.

𝘗𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘧𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘢 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘢 'Maypop'.

It doesn't look like much now, but it's a tuber for a beautiful perennial vine native to the U.S. Southeast : a local species of passionflower.

The passion fruit you find in supermarkets are in the same genus.

I'll post more pictures when they flower and fruit.

On Wednesday, Gazan photojournalist Fatima Hassouna was murdered, along with 10 of her family members, including her pregnant sister, in a U.S.-backed Israeli airstrike.

Here is the epitaph she asked poet Haidar al-Ghazali to write in the event of her murder, as posted to al-Ghazali's Instagram.
