Throwback to the time I used an orthodontic cheek retractor to help me visualize how we could put new openings into the walls of London underground stations at Kings Cross. #inspiration

A live performance by Father John Misty not only offers a sonic feast but also a gander at what might be the finest traveling beard museum on the circuit right now.

Am I also obligated to take a sharpie to my desk globe, or is it only mandatory for people who donated to the inauguration?

New Bonnie Prince Billy album is fantastic. My favorite track, such hefty Leonard Cohen vibes.

This keeps popping into my head every time I read someone's take about what DeepSeek's done to OpenAI today.

Honored to speak at NCSEA's summit in Vegas last November.

I spoke with engineers about how AI is reshaping our field. A recurring perspective stood out, explored in my latest article—plus lessons from 20+ years of tech adoption.

Looking for a breeder who can help me cross a poodle with a Boston Dynamics robodog. Hoping to have a roboodle for when we get a place upstate. LMK if you have leads.

When asked how old I am I've always responded tongue-in-cheek that “I was born during the Carter Administration”, basically “it doesn't really matter”. But this week I'm struck by how he showed that a leader can have impact while staying humble, something we can't expect of our presidents anymore.

I'm reading Herman Melville's book Omoo, about maritime life in the South Pacific in the 1800s. Sailing a ship was complicated! I was introduced to the Round Robin - a way unhappy sailors formed a petition ahead of mutiny so the first signee couldn't be ID'd. Seems like a useful lost device.
