Yeah to be honest, I think for me it mostly comes from swapping GPUs back and forth constantly, and old AMD and Nvidia drivers constantly causing conflicts with one another back in the day.

Sadly as far as I can tell it's been closed unfortunately. I believe there's one more issue (April) being released, but they'll be it.

Honestly, loved every minute of it. Thanks for the kind words, means the world. Just sad it's got to end.

Yep! Everything bar the CPU and motherboard combo was interchangeable, really. With recommended RAM per spec. That was the plan when I relaunched it. I liked the idea of having an AMD + Intel system side-by-side, just made more sense with how concrete the fan-bases were, and with AMD's resurgence.

AMD just doesn't produce a GPU at that price point that matches Intel on performance. Same goes for Nvidia being absent from that segment too. You could grab the 7600 for it, from the Intel build, but you'd get comparable performance for $50 more. Next month's blueprints are wild as a heads-up.

Thanks! Appreciate the support. I love Maximum PC even as a freelancer I still consider it home really :D. Good question, it's really not fixed as to who goes where if I'm honest. In the case of budget build I chose the Intel card because it's by far the best value right now.

I'm half terrified of that piece. Particularly given my livelihood depends on teaching people to build custom PCs. Thanks for the support though, appreciate it.

I don't disagree, but I reckon for the vast majority of folk just grabbing a quick cup on the daily, it ensures you don't accidentally shunt coffee grounds into the locking mechanism for the filter cap (if you use the inverted method). Or spill any coffee onto your work surface when you stir. ^^
