Growing Disturbing Trend of Forceful Abduction and Targeted Execution of Baloch Individuals The rising trend of forceful abduction and targeted execution of Baloch individuals, particularly the youth, marks an alarming intensification of the ongoing Baloch genocide. Continuing genocide and enforced disappearances with impunity , Pakistani forces forcibly abducted five Baloch youth from Maskan Chorangai, Karachi, around 1:00 AM last night. Among those abducted is Meraj Shad, son of Gam Shad, a resident of Turbat. Meraj, a member of the Central Organizing Committee of the National Democratic Party, is a highly conscious and politically active Baloch youth and a recent graduate in International Relations from the University of Karachi. Another abductee is Doda Ellahi, son of Ellahi Baksh, a resident of Bal Nigwhar and a sixth-semester student at Karachi University. Doda was previously subjected to enforced disappearance in June 2022 and released after eight days of detention following peaceful protests by his family and Civil society. Also forcibly disappeared is Gamshad Baloch, son of Ghani, a resident of the Mand area of Kech and an M.Phil student in the Philosophy Department. Doda and Gamshad were previously abducted together and later released. Muzamil, son of Gaffar, a resident of Pasni and a sixth-semester student of Philosophy, was also subjected to enforced disappearance. Ismail, son of Ibrahim, a resident of Mand and a worker in Dubai, was forcibly disappeared from Hassan Square, Karachi. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee vehemently condemns the illegal detention of these young Baloch students and political workers. 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆- 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗵 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 On World Human Rights Day, people celebrate the fundamental principles that unite us as a global community: dignity, justice, and the right to live free from fear. Yet, in Balochistan, these principles have been under siege for decades. The Baloch people, in their homeland rich with cultural and historical heritage, are facing genocide on an unimaginable scale. Enforced disappearances, mutilated bodies, extrajudicial killings, and relentless state violence have become the grim reality of life in Balochistan. For over seven painful decades, the state’s policy to subdue the Baloch by force has only grown more brutal, with an alarming increase in enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings. In November alone, 88 Baloch were forcibly disappeared, and 8 were killed extrajudicially. The highest number of cases—40—was recorded in the Makran region, followed by 30 cases in the Sarawan region. Other regions also reported similar incidents, though the actual number of enforced disappearances remains unknown due to numerous state-imposed restrictions. The recent large-scale military operation across Balochistan is a stark reminder of the ongoing human rights abuses and genocide targeting the Baloch people. Despite these atrocities, the Baloch continue to resist this grave abuse of their fundamental rights. Currently, three sit-in protests are underway in various cities across Balochistan. The actions of the state and its law enforcement agencies have systematically stripped the Baloch of their universal fundamental human rights. The rights outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Geneva Conventions, and other international conventions are nonexistent for the Baloch nation. Last night on December, 06, 2024, in the district of Pangjur tehsil Paroom four people were enforcedly disappeared by the Pakistani authorities. They are identified as, Waseem Hashim, Khaleel Siddique, Arshid Rafiq, and Abdul Shakoor Saleh. The policy of kill and dump with prolong traumatic consequences haunts family and victims terribly. State institutions rather than to ease the plights of family members instead enhanced practicing oppressive policies. Such as, a wave of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killing. In the last few days, the Law Enforcement Authorities have forcibly disappeared Hatim Bizenjo, a Law student and ASI Dilwash Baloch, an airport security personnel from Karachi. Both men were detained by security persons in plainclothes while raiding their homes in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

The enforced disappearances of Baloch individuals are escalating daily. The Baloch nation is facing the worst forms of oppression. With every passing day, disturbing reports of extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances emerge. Hundreds of innocent individuals and their families are being subjected to the cruel practice of enforced disappearances, and in many cases, these victims are executed. The genocide of the Baloch people is intensifying, yet human rights organizations and the media have adopted a criminal silence, as lives of Baloch do not matter to anyone. It is evident that whether we live or die makes no difference to the world. State violence has reached its peak. Today alone, in a single instance, eight Baloch individuals were forcibly disappeared from one household, leaving behind no male member, including an elderly person, Dr. Zafar, and his son, Raheem Baloch. Additionally, five of Dr. Zafar’s guests were forcibly abducted from his house. Although Dr. Zafar was later released after severe humiliation and torture, the others remain forcibly disappeared. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) expresses grave concern that despite our peaceful efforts, the genocide we resist is intensifying rapidly. We will never, and cannot, remain indifferent while our people endure such brutality.
