When you care about what litters the path in front of you - or who will be harmed by your actions - you are not free to assume or set sail on that voyage until everyone is accounted/attended/provided for.

Not only have you already decided that you deserve to go somewhere else than where you currently are; you assume by the very method you travel but the space in front of you that you travel through is empty, available, and that your use of it is free of harm!
